Replacing Your Grass With Sod & Artificial Turf

Natural grass can be pretty when it grows as it should and is healthy. It does require a lot of maintenance though, and not everyone wants to put in the effort. You might consider replacing your grass with sod or artificial turf.

The major differences in sod & artificial turf are below.

With artificial turf:

  • You don’t spend a ton of time weeding it, fertilizing it, or cutting it, so you can reclaim your Saturdays and Sundays for something more enjoyable.

  • You do not spend a lot of time watering it either, which means your water bill goes down in the summer.

  • There is no need for chemicals that could harm your kids or pets.

  • It is more expensive up front, but you are saving a lot of time and money over the 15 to 25 years you have it.

With sod:

  • It improves the look of your yard.

  • It costs a lot less than artificial grass.

  • You do have to water it, mow it, and fertilize it.
